Your point is that a person's practice of Islam goes hand in hand with their living of life.
If a person is listening to music and the adhan comes on, they shouldn't turn it off because they feel that the music is bad, and that the angels will leave and sin will befall them at the time of adhan. If the music is sinful, it will be sinful at all times - whether the adhan is being given or not.
They should turn it off or lower the volume out of respect for what the adhan is calling to, and because they want to repeat after it.
