I saw a bunch of episodes when it was still on TV, and I thought it was only a mildly interesting take on Spiderman. It was much better than the original cartoon they made in the 90's, but I really didn't like the constant pop culture references.
And dude, you're wrong about the "millions of dollars went into this" - CGI is dirt cheap compared to traditional animation. I bet the royalties to Marvel cost more than the production.
