your perspectives are refreshing... thanks... perhaps people don't cry because this is a reality sooo far removed from our lives that, when we do witness it, our brain can't process the shock (?) or maybe because we've trained ourselves to be so self-absorbed that we view feeling-the-pain-of-the-less-fortunate as an optional-nice-thing-to-do, but not as a moral-obligation (?)
